Lanie & AJ’s July wedding at Vail Mountain Wedding Deck was a dream summer wedding in the mountains! These two came from Oklahoma City for their mountain top wedding! Reflecting back on their weekend, Lanie described it as a “Magical weekend becoming Mrs. S.!” 

Their wedding day started with getting ready at the Sonnenalp Hotel where the reception would be later. Lanie had beautiful wedding details like her pink Loeffler Randall shoes and and the blue in her wedding invitations. Her bridesmaids were all in blue dresses of different shades and styles! Together the mixed bridesmaid dresses worked perfectly along with classic white flower bouquets! Once Lanie was ready we did photos outside the Sonnenalp until it was time for their first look. 

Lanie and AJ’s first look was one of my favorite parts of the day. They were SO happy and enthusiastic about seeing each other! Lanie has the most radiant smile and she was beaming the entire day.

Ceremony at Vail Wedding Deck 

Soon it was time for everyone to catch a gondola ride up to the top of Vail Mountain for the ceremony. Also known as the Holy Cross Event Deck, this wedding ceremony venue in Vail has breathtaking, wide-open views of the mountains surrounding Vail. Both before and after the ceremony we took photos with the wedding party, family, and the newlyweds with the mountain backdrop they came for. 

Wedding Reception at the Sonnenalp Hotel in Vail 

Lanie and AJ’s wedding reception was at the Sonnenalp Hotel in Ludwig’s Terrace which is an enclosed glass room. I love this space at the Sonnenalp because of the incredible natural light the terrace has. Their wedding reception decor was white flower table arrangements and greenery which created a sophisticated and timeless look. Lanie and AJ are so loved and it was clear from the incredible toasts given by their friends and family during the reception and even the welcome event. They spent the rest of the night dancing and celebrating with their loved ones!
