Jennifer and Keaton had a Vail, Colorado wedding at the Sonnenalp Hotel with wedding photos on top of Vail mountain and a ceremony and reception in the Sonnenalp’s glass terrace room. These two got engaged in 2021 and had a July 2022 wedding in Vail.

Keaton plays football in the NFL and Jennifer is his biggest supporter and goes to every game! I first met Jennifer and Keaton in person when they made a trip Vail in the winter for a snowy engagement session. They kept each other laughing smiling the entire time during their engagement session, and it was the same for their wedding day!

Vail Colorado Wedding at the Sonnenalp

Both Jennifer and Keaton come from larger families and their brothers and sisters made up the wedding party! Jennifer has four sisters and they’re all very close! All of her sisters were dressed in black bridesmaid dresses with white bouquets. Keaton has three brothers who were all his groomsmen in classic black suits. The entire wedding party in black looked sharp paired with all the white flowers and greenery decorating the wedding.

Wedding Photos on Vail Mountain

Keaton’s reaction during the first look was the BEST! They did their first look outside the Sonnenalp and Keaton was so pumped and animated seeing Jennifer! After their first look, we caught a gondola and headed to the top of Vail Mountain for wedding photos! If you’re dreaming of wedding photos on the top of Vail Mountain, it’s important to intentionally make time for it on your wedding day. I know Jennifer and Keaton appreciated having quality time together to take in each other and the mountain views before the wedding whirlwind began. After mountain top portraits we headed back down to the Sonnenalp for the ceremony.

Jennifer decided to have their wedding ceremony in the stunning glass enclosed room on the terrace at Ludwig’s. Most of the time wedding receptions are held in this room, so I loved getting to photograph a ceremony there too. It was beautiful and different in a good way! After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside by the pool and the river.

Vail Wedding Reception at the Sonnenalp

During cocktail hour the terrace room was transformed into the wedding reception space. They had a classic reception look of tables decorated with white florals and greenery. During the reception Jennifer’s dad gave one of the best father of the bride toasts I’ve heard!  It was so clear how much he loves his wife and daughters from the toast. 

Once the formalities were done, the reception party began! Mardi gras beads with their picture on it made their way onto the dance floor. Later in the night this Texas couple and their guests gathered together to belt out the Texas A & M war hymn. When it was time for their exit, everyone tossed flower petals on Jennifer and Keaton as they made their way to the pedicab!
