“The best weekend of my life” is how Jacy described their Vail wedding at The Sebastian Hotel and Vail Chapel. Jacy and Matt’s wedding was a gorgeous day with a mountain top first look, a sweet ceremony at Vail Chapel, and an intimate outdoor wedding reception at The Sebastian Hotel. 

Jacy and Matt got engaged in 2022 when Matt proposed on the beach in Myrtle Beach, SC. They currently live in Austin, Texas, and wanted a mountain wedding.  They traveled to Vail in August for their small mountain wedding with their closest family and friends. 

Mountain Top Wedding First Look on Vail Mountain 

Jacy had a peaceful morning getting ready at the Sebastian Hotel. Her mom helped her put on her dress and her other wedding details like jewelry and her shoes.

 Once Jacy was ready we went to the gondola and headed up to the top of Vail Mountain. At the top Matt was waiting and ready for their mountain top first look. They had an emotional first look with a few tears and then we spent time doing bride and groom portraits. The weather on their wedding day was perfect with open views of the mountains, and we were all so glad they made time for a first look!

Vail Chapel Wedding Ceremony

Soon it was time to head down for their wedding ceremony at Vail Chapel. After their ceremony, we took family photos and photos with small groups of friends in front of Vail Chapel. Jacy and Matt didn’t have a wedding party, but we still made photos with their friends a priority!

After the ceremony, guests made the short walk back to The Sebastian Hotel for cocktail hour and the reception. Before heading to the reception, we did a few more portraits of Jacy and Matt at the chapel and walking through Vail Village. They wanted to enjoy cocktail hour with everyone, so we made sure to get them there in time to mingle with their friends and family. 

Outdoor Wedding Reception at The Sebastian

Their wedding reception was outside on the mountain terrace at The Sebastian Hotel. They had one long table set with beautiful place settings and white and light blue floral bouquets. They listened to toasts from family and then cut the cake. They enjoyed the rest of the summer night celebrating under the stars with their loved ones! 

Jacy and Matt were such a sweet couple to work with and I’m so honored have photographed their Vail wedding at The Sebastian! Congrats to Jacy & Matt!!
