Kailynn and Daniel both went to the University of Colorado in Boulder, so we did their engagement photos at CU Boulder. I love when couples want engagement photos at locations important to them because it makes their engagement photos even more special. For the second part of their session we went to Lost Gulch Overlook for the mountain views.

Engagement Photos at CU Boulder 

Kailynn and Daniel now live in Miami, but are both from Colorado. At CU Boulder, Daniel graduated with a bachelor of science degree through the school of business. Kailynn is a doctor of pharmacy with a speciality in infectious diseases! They’ve been together for a very long time! They even did long distance for a bit when she was in Florida and he was in New York. 

For their engagement session at CU Boulder we met on campus and walked around some of their favorite areas. The Boulder campus is gorgeous and filled with lots of trees and beautiful buildings. I enjoyed hearing stories about their time in college and the fun memories being on campus brought up for them!  Of course we ended their session on CU campus with photos with the buffalo that sits outside of Folsom Field.

Lost Gulch Lookout Engagement Photos 

Lost Gulch Lookout is a favorite location for engagement photos in Boulder and was our second spot! From the CU campus it’s only about a 15 minute drive. The actual overlook can get pretty busy, but the views are always worth it! Everyone loves the rocky overlook area here, but I enjoy doing photos among the trees! For photo sessions, week day evenings are typically a little less crowded at this location.

P.S. As a photographer, you need a permit to photograph at Lost Gulch Lookout through Boulder OSMP! I’m completely familiar with the process and will always take care of the photo permit for sessions.
