Michelle and George’s Vail engagement photos were a highlight of my summer! For their session, we went to one of my favorite mountain locations close to Vail with incredible views and blooming wildflowers!  

Vail Colorado Engagement Photos 

Michelle and George are college sweethearts and met at Texas A & M! While visiting Vail, George proposed to Michelle near Sapphire Point. Afterward they celebrated with both their families over pizza and wine! 

Vail and the mountains of Colorado are sentimental for both Michelle and George. They both grew up traveling here for winter and summer vacations. When we did their engagement session they were also planning for their fall wedding in Vail. The mountains of Colorado hold a lot of memories for these two and I love that Vail will continue to be a meaningful part of their lives together!

Engagement Session at Shrine Pass

As a wedding photographer based in Vail, I have several locations I love to use for engagement photos, but Shrine Pass is one of my favorites. Michelle and George’s engagement session was during the summer season when everything was bright and green! Shrine Pass is a short drive from Vail and is right off I-70. It’s only open from June to September/October just depending on snow, so summer is the best time for this area!

Michelle and George also did an incredible job picking out their engagement photo outfits. I always recommend going with neutral, lighter or earthy colors and choosing timeless looks over trendy ones.  They went with whites, blues, and pops of green which allowed them to stand out in photos with the green of the trees and mountains behind them. I know deciding what to wear for engagement photos can be tough, so I’m always happy to guide my couples in the right direction!
