I haven’t been back to the Arizona desert since I was a little girl. I would go down to visit my grandparents in the summers! My brother and I would escape the hot desert heat by playing in the pool every day. But, let me tell you something about Arizona and the desert…it is absolutely beautiful in March!! It is gorgeous and breathtaking and the desert comes alive!

So when Kelli + Nathan asked me to be their wedding photographer for their wedding in Arizona in March…. I said I DO! And yes please take me back to the Arizona desert!! I was thrilled!!

I am so glad I met Kelli and Nathan! They are my people. Kind, warm, friendly, sentimental, good hearted, all around a joyful, sweet couple!! They are a blessing to this world and to my life!!

Kelli and Nathan were wed at one of the most beautiful venues I have seen! Gorgeous Arizonian architecture, cactus and succulents galore, and flowers blooming all around. The heat was the perfect temperature and the light was bright and soft! A photographer’s dream! Coral and gray suited this desert wedding perfectly! Bright, colorful and soft all at the same time.

One of my favorite moments from their wedding day was how many tears of happiness and laughter were all around at the same time. I love when brides and grooms get emotional on their wedding day as well as parents and siblings. Being there on their wedding day and going through their images made me feel the same way…tears of happiness because of the joy that exuded from Kelli and Nathan, her sisters also crying with them and laughing with them. Kelli and Nathan were SO happy to be getting married! I can truly feel the huge amount of love they have for each other!!

Kelli and Nathan are the type of people that make you feel good! I loved the way they made me feel during their wedding weekend…a part of their love story and a part of their family! And I hope as a photographer that I made them feel the same way…that making my couples feel loved is more important than anything else.

And because I know it’s so easy for them to love other people so well, they are going to make FABULOUS PARENTS and love their new little one so well!! They just told me about their pregnancy and I couldn’t be more thrilled for them!! Congratulations Kelli + Nathan!! I can’t wait to meet the little one!!
